Value Added Tendering

In the competitive Design and Build world you need a competitive edge…

Gladwood can help with the complex areas of ‘Part L’ Building Regulations using (DSM) Dynamic Simulation Method modelling.

DSM modelling produces Part L compliance documents and EPC asset ratings which can offer significant benefits over the standard SBEM method. We can help you value engineer your tender via the DSM methodology - your competitors will be at disadvantage using the basic SBEM method.

  • Achieve part L compliance more easily with reduced project costs, and reduced need for expensive renewables
  • Enhance Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) asset ratings
  • Achieve cost effective BREEAM certification
  • Account for natural ventilation strategies, solar shading and high thermal mass structures in the compliance check
  • Produce detailed information for cost engineering exercises

Once a geometric model has been constructed, further assessments can be carried out using the same model, including thermal comfort and natural lighting assessments for the purposes of BREEAM credits, 3D visuals and animations.

Furthermore, geometrical data from Skecthup and Revit software can also be utilised, avoiding the need and cost of re-generating this information. Using this method, working along side architects, we can rapidly investigate the viability of various design proposals.
