BREEAM HEA 01 Visual Comfort

Daylight/Sunlight impact reports.

Purpose:

To ensure daylighting, artificial lighting and occupant controls are considered at the design stage to ensure best practice visual performance and comfort for building occupants.

Daylighting (1-2 credits) – building type dependent

In order to prove a building has acceptable daylighting as a general rule 80% of net lettable floor area must be adequately daylit with an average daylight factor of 2% or more and a uniformity ratio of at least 0.4. Gladwood can put together the required reports to satisfy the BREEAM requirements.

Gladwood use IES <Virtual Environment> dynamic modelling software which addresses the low-carbon challenges faced by today’s building designers.
