Gladwood (B.C.S) Ltd is a consultancy firm that provides Assessments of Buildings Carbon Dioxide Emissions that are required for compliance with the 2006 edition of the Building Regulations Part L. Gladwood can provide a range of services that will satisfy the Building Control Authority and allow Approval to be granted for both the buildings design (Plans Approval Certificate) and the as built construction (Completion Certificate).

The Building Regulations Part L concerns conservation of fuel and power and has been significantly revised. The revised documents came into force in April 2006 and the updated legislation places more impetus on reducing buildings CO2 emission rates in accord with the Governments obligation to satisfy the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The 2006 Edition of the Building Regulations Part L split the Approved Documents down into four Parts, L1A, L1B, L2A, and L2B.
