Gladwood commenced trading in 2006 and was originally set up by Paul Hopper and Joe Campion. The combination of Paul’s architectural background and Joe’s Building Control knowledge blended together made Gladwood a leading energy consultancy in the East Midlands area.

This was later reinforced with a 3rd Director William Simpson whose background included the design and installation of renewable products such as Wind Turbines and Solar thermal systems. William is also a fully qualified electrician and EPC assessor for domestic buildings.

Gladwood have carried out over 3000 SAP assessments and 1000 SBEM calculations to date and have a good working relationship with many of the local Building Control Officers in the Lincolnshire area.

In 2006 Gladwood also moved into air permeability testing of dwellings and commercial buildings. We have competent person status for testing of dwellings via BINDT. We also carry out commercial testing following ATTMA guidance in conjunction with building control approval.

Gladwood continue to expand and react to the requirements of the building industry and now offer a number of other services including thermal modelling, ventilation testing and thermal imaging.
